I have boycotted them... loved the highschooly fluttery first one second boring and third sex scene offended me. probably mostly because i know all these little girls are reading it. i am also boycotting edward and vote for jacob... these twilighters love me now:)
No I have not read any of the books, but I've done some research on them. But I am glad to hear there are some other people out there who hadn't read them or who didn't like them. Seriously, I felt like I was the only one who wasn't doing it--it's like high school all over again.
I would read it before you decide to not like it. It really is just a book. It didn't inspire or change my life. It is just a different story.I am happy to support someone writing down a story because they wanted to and getting praised for it. Perhaps I should only read the religious or inspiring kind, but sometimes it is just nice to read something simplified. I don't think I am any less intelligent for reading them, just entertained. I
I have this major thing about not jumping on social bandwagons... and although I am sure I would "enjoy" reading these books and they would "entertain" me, I do not and I will not. (maybe in like 20 years when they are not the CRAZE anymore. Then I may rethink.) To anyone reading this who does not share the same view, I admit I am a prude. And sometimes it is painful. How fun it would be to just go along with the crowd sometimes. But alas, no.
I'll join the anti-twilight group :) I've always had this "thing" about ignoring what the popular trend is and doing my own thing because I like it - not because of media hype or whatever!
I support you. I just don't care to read them. I think zane said it well. I do have to say I am so happy for the author. sweet deal for her!
I will keep reading other books that perk my interest. seriously it is not like there is a lack of good reading out there. I love to check Glenn beck reading list, the reading list of the commandant of the Marine corps, and my friends on shelfari.
hoped on to your blog, love the political posts. thanks Kim
Dallin is 7, Adam is 5, Owen is a spunky 2-year-old, and Miles is just a widdwe guy. Then there's Marily who writes this blog and Mark who hacks into it twice a year. If you stop by, say something, will ya?

Sorry...not me. I'm already addicted. Have you read them at all?
Hooray for the Smith's! Let's leave the teenage girl books to the teenage girls.
